Liberty may run for 500 yards

I don't think I have posted here in a decade, but here goes. Been following Liberty this year because one of my kids will be going there next year. They have an great running game. If the QB's name is familiar, he was a former VT DB commit who decommitted to to go Auburn, where he saw a little PT but didn't win the starting job. Probably not a great job of VT evaluating him in high school. He is better than anyone on the VT or UVa roster at QB. He had to sit out last year and really learned Hugh Freeze's offense. He is a great runner and good passer with a strong arm. He is big, strong, and fast and is decisive with the ball running the RPO. He completely humiliated Syracuse. Granted it was Southern Miss, but he threw for 6TDs and ran for another last Saturday. I really like this kid - he's a great interview. They have several very good running backs in Shedro Louis and Josh Mack who have both gone for 100+, sometimes in the same game. If Louis gets in the secondary, he's gone - ask Syracuse. They have several WRs that have made highlight reel catches on ESPN....CJ Suggs and JT Yarbrough - but they don't have tremendous depth there. Their center, Thomas Sargeant, is a legit Rimington nominee. The entire OL is athletic. IMO the Hugh Freeze offense is very well-designed, and he constantly sets up plays. The TD pass to the tight end Saturday was the result of a series of looks. They offensively seem to have a much better vision and identity than we do. One thing Liberty has done well is run up the middle, and they have to be salivating at our DT play. You can stack the box, but if Louis gets through, he's gone. I would say the defense is average, but they play hard and don't make a lot of mental errors. The secondary seems to be their strength. If VT does not take this game seriously, they can be on the end of a 55-21 loss. Saturday's effort will not cut it.
