You guys forget how low the program went under FB. Jumping on JF now is still too soon. Oh yes, I realize what your expectations are. They were and are too high. College football Is about $ because that is how the NCAA and their boss, ESPN, allowed it to travel. And the top programs have a lot more $. What’s worse they cheat. NC should have gotten the death penalty for their violations, paying and fake classes. Ever wonder how so many of their kids Got Covid so early and team is completely past it now? Clemson had 17 cases in March. How’d that happen when team practice should not have been under way even in normal times and with Covid restrictions should not have been together at all? So some of our guys though back are coming off Covid. Do you believe they are 100%?
Furthermore, look how many bad years it took FB to get on track. He even went 2-9 and was allowed to stay. Would still be there if he haven’t coasted and tried to assure SB as his replacement.
The team wasn’t ready physically or emotionally. That’s on the staff but also on the kids. I’m simply saying it takes a while at a mid-level school to turn it around. Mistakes are made in the process but if you are not seeing overall progress you not paying attention.
