Poor recruiting.

If we recruited well immediately after Beamer and got a new coach “bump” then maybe we would be in a better position.

There are lots of reasons, I’m sure. But in the end, Fu gets paid like a top 25 coach and he understood all of the challenges. He accepted them when accepting millions of dollars. He hasn’t hired a single “salesperson.” You need some of those some times.

But sure, coach away and hope for the best. It is what it is.

I understand it. You don’t have to be a “big boy” to out-recruit Duke or BC. Or Cuse.

That last point is the ridiculous one. I don’t think we are getting top 15 classes. But we should be top 30 or top 25. Get one 4 star recruit.

And yes, a few of our commits have p5 offers. And a few don’t. Again, we are competing with teams that aren’t in the top 25 for these players.

I don’t know what fuente’s strategy is and I don’t care anymore. Just stop recruiting in the bottom 5 of the ACC. Get into the 4-7 range consistently. He can’t get close right now.
