They are reporting Meto area, so the Blacksburg–Christiansburg metropolitan


The Blacksburg–Christiansburg metropolitan area includes the counties of Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, and Floyd plus the city of Radford. This was 162,958 on the 2010 census and 151,272 on the 2000 census. So around 180+K today would not be an unreasonable estimate considering the growth around Blacksburg the last decade.
