The Fuente haters somehow think things cant get worse.

Look at FSU. Look at Miami. Look at any of these revolving door coaching schools. We dont have a "Mack Brown" waiting in the wings that is going to come in and sign top 10 classes and stick around as a retirement project. And by the way, he's not that good of a football coach. All of those top 5 classes at texas and less NFL stars than came out of VT during the same time frame (even though he got the ring we should have).

The best case alternative is a "buzz williams" youg prove it type which is a good for a season or two, not to mention the dumpster fire before hand, and out the door possibly followed by much worse yet again.

Build a culture and a system. Get players that fit those parameters with stars sprinkled in. Field seasoned, diciplined, tough and experienced teams against the entitled "top 10" squads. Those teams egos will tear themselves apart. Develop good people and get them a college education.

Too many people on these boards, and ive even fallen into it at times, seem to think the season is won on signing day or some preseason hype train.
