Not quite sure what to make of it. Thoughts?

Hokie Nation,

Throughout the last few months, there have been so many ups and downs, so many moments of clarity followed by moments of confusion, so many questions and so few answers. It has been this way for our student-athletes, our coaches, and our staff – as it has been for all of you. This experience has taught lessons, changed perspectives, and impacted our future in ways none of us could have predicted.

We hope you and yours are safe and healthy. We hope you have found balance in the chaos. We hope you have adjusted your sails in an effort to weather the storm.

COVID-19 has impacted all of us in many ways. Like many of you, our business has been altered and our primary sources of income have been adversely affected. I am so proud of the people working behind the scenes to push the Hokies forward and am inspired by their creative solutions for the challenges we face. I hope you are as well.

Hokie Club donors and season ticket holders will receive information tomorrow regarding the options we laid out earlier this year. When you receive this, please take a moment to review everything and know that our team is available to walk through any questions you may have. We will humbly ask for your continued support.

While we do not know what the future holds, we do know that in this moment, we cannot face these challenges without you. If you have the capacity to provide additional support during this time, please know that your gift will make a profound impact. If you are unable to provide additional support during this time, we completely understand and will be ready for you to return when you can. We are all in this together. Ultimately, we believe in the power and generosity of Hokie Nation. People cannot help to solve a problem if they are not asked – and this is our ask of those of you who are able.

We look forward to opening our doors to you and inviting you back to our shared home. Until that day, keep jumping with us and we will start jumping together again soon.
