A post I made below about R (virus transmission rate) reminded me of this..
...site that I think is really interesting. The goal is to have everywhere below 1, at which point the virus is no longer spreading. (Obviously, testing blind spots and other variables impact that in reality).
This site helps visualize where the various states are, and how their Rs have changed over time. Until we get the R below 1 most everywhere, you'll see flare ups, even in areas where the R was previous below 1.
(Note that R isn't what's driving the spread or flare ups, it's a measure of how the spread is happening.)
