There really needs to be an option/minor league for players out of high
school to go to if desired, instead of college. Maybe thats an expanded XFL, who knows. But asking for 50% of revenue when men's football and bball support all other nonrevenue sports (often just barely) is a no-go. That would deny scholarship opportunities for every other sport as well as cut deeply or even eliminate women's Title IX sports. Many of these sports are olympic sports as well that they would need to cut. It just won't work.
The only way it would possibly work if if they cut coaching salaries by a significant margin and used that instead, but that doesn't come anywhere close to the 50% revenue demand they are asking for.
