If the schools were to rescend scholarship to said athletes?!?!? I think there my be some viewpoint discrimination, legal issues there.

My point being, what you expect becomes expectation. Getting full scholarships is expected at this point; thus have lost sight of their value. These scholarships have a dollar value - thats in effect a salary. I have huge issues with the likeness and endorsements and such that will be streaming down through college football soon enough.

Agreed a lower pro league to be formed as an alternative to college football needs to happen if there is any chance to save football as we have all grown to know and love.

There are other issues with these revenues and such - but direct player salary isn't the answer, imo.

This may get me in trouble, i hope it doesn't as thats not the aim. The Pac12 players seem to sight racial inequality - yet they are playing a sport with 80% of a single race are members. Also, revenues pushed to support other sports - yeah, thats been happening forever already in college sports (football carries literally every other program outside of men's basketball). Just seems illogical to me.

I'm not sure when football went from meritocracy to whatever it has become; but I'd really like my football to be football :/
