Because they have to space everyone out, you can’t just let all the people who paid for prime seats stay in those prime seats. That’s what’s interesting about it. I’m sure there’s a way to just shift people up and over once you figure out who you’re actually going to let in. But if you had really good seats 15 rows up at midfield are you going to be ok sitting near the top on the 5 yard line?
Let’s say Lane hypothetically sets capacity at about 15%, which is 10,000 fans. Even if they prioritize season ticket holders, there are going to be a LOT of folks who are not happy w the seat location they get offered. Unless it is a deal where you can use your original seat but you can only come to one game. That’s possible too.
