Just off the top of my head, guys in front of him at RB:

King, Blackshear, Gary, Holston, and the Kansas transfer. Not to mention incoming scholarship freshmen RBs Brunson and Hampton, plus JUCO transfer Marco Lee.

He had basically zero chance of seeing any PT at the running back position. Probably a wise move to transfer, if he actually wants game action.
