The days of ND getting what they want (which was true in the past) is over. ND doesn't receive much unearned privilege as conferences are much more powerful entities than ND football, which has faded.

ND is not happy having to play 5 ACC games per year. You think they like having to play Duke, Georgia Tech, Wake, UVA, Syracuse, Pitt, UNC, NCSU regularly? And the more marque matchups of Clemson, UM, FSU aren't their traditional rivals.

The ACC and ND formed a mutually beneficial deal. ND got membership for basketball and their olympic sports. The ACC got a contract from ND that they won't join another conference until the 2030's, and ND's prime product of FB sacrificed a lot.

If you enjoyed ND committing to Blacksburg and us going to ND there's only 1 reason that happened and that's ND not getting what they wanted.
