Nothing to do with it. Jim Everett got ripped by the press ...


...for effectively the same type of play as Cam not diving for the ball. Jeff George got the same treatment. The only reason it didn't happen sooner with black quarterbacks is because there weren't as many around until recently.

The press doesn't care.
