He isn't particularly old so I wouldn't think he and his wife aren't at a significant risk of dying from it. With that said I am in my mid forties now and admittedly I can see how I could end up with some of the pre-existing conditions that put me in the risky category by the time I am in my fifties. I can also see how could have one of those conditions and be completely unaware.
