They don't have agency because none is needed. It's a choice to play. They have basic safety guidelines in place. If you don't like those guidelines don't play.

Also, every year they play is about someone making money - nothing has changed. In addition, they do get paid. They get scholarships, stipends etc. all things that non athletic students don't get. They get full time tutors for free.

It really is simple. They can all quit and we don't have to worry about a football season. I honestly don't care if they every play again. But it's their choice. Not yours, not mine.
