I guess it depends on definition of a great recruiter. He could still get into the AAU "scene" but one has to commit to that of course.
At the same time I see him as someone who has passion and enthusiasm and can sell his high basketball IQ to anyone that will listen. Also a good work ethic and 100% commitment to THIS job. Plus he is a good dude. All that inherently makes him a good recruiter on some level.
