It seems to me that they preach
Hey VT you need to take our 2 star talent or we will push our 4/5 star talent to the Clemsons/PSU/Alabama's of the world. (Oh and by the way they are doing that no matter how much interest VT shows in the lower talent.) But last I checked those schools aren't taking the lower rated kids either and now the collective VA coaches are all whiney that they can't park their lower talent at VT. Well these relationships work both ways, the rules can't be different for VT than Clemson and others.

I am not a VA native and so I am sure I am out of touch with dynamic in those recruiting areas. But IMO the VA coaches can take their whiney, self entitled attitudes and shove it. Maybe Fu is taking this approach somewhat too.
