That is one crowded RB room, with no one approaching the level of being a break out star. I'm glad the kid decided he wanted to be a Hokie, but it's not like VT had any competition on the recruiting front. He looks good against high school competition, but compare his film to the 4 and 5 stars out there (or go back and check out R. Williams, D. Wilson, etc. in high school). Can you imagine if we lost this recruiting battle to App St, W. Carolina, etc?

I caught a grief about being negative about VT recruiting, but I agree with DD saying we won't get it done by pulling in 2 and 3 stars. It's hard to believe we were completely shut out of VA top 20 recruits in 2020. 2021 isn't shaping up much better though we do have a verbal from #19.

My fingers are crossed that this new coaching regime can start taking it to the next level. I'm really surprised that defense recruiting for 2021 is currently looking rather bleak.
