and that is who Beamer should have hired as the offensive coordinator in 2002 or after, assuming we're talking Beamer years. Even if he was hired, you can make a case that Beamer should have fired him between 2006 and 2009.

Steve Logan, former East Carolina/BC coach is a guy. BC hired Logan after a few years in NFL Europe. He's a realistic person Beamer could have hired. But I think Beamer and Logan shared a fair amount of rivalry. Logan likely would have had a tenure similar to Phil Elmassian at Tech. At that point, Logan wouldn't have accepted a job under Beamer.

30+ years as a fan, I've come to appreciate play-calling/coordinator roles are tough. Having a career like Bud Foster's is rare.
