The prez certainly has the ability to step in and guide decisions on athletics, but he’s got so many other things he worries about on a daily basis. He gives the final “okay” on certain decisions, like finding a construction project for athletics, or issues that affect the image if the university. It’s not often. He’s definitely not stepping in and holding Whit back on what he wants to do.

Sands is worried about landing amazon partnerships, and such, to fuel our University for years to come. Doubt he really cares if Fuente bounces to Baylor. He goes, he will be replaced.

And if he has started involving himself in our AD decisions since I left the department, than that’s a dangerous path. But doubt that’s occurring
