Of course we need to keep in mind that many USN&WR staffers are alumni of private liberal arts colleges. All that said, VT and Auburn should be equally disadvantaged in this ranking system. Both schools would rank much higher if the criteria were things less easily manipulated like average starting salary, average time to find a job and percent accepted to graduate schools.
