been a top 20 program. fanbase has extreme expectations. Has never won a national championship any era. have only 2 great players Vick and Smith and maybe Cam. and one only great in the NFL in Smith. It is a rural school with no entertainment value for city kids. I also notice the lack of outside participation in social organizations. I see players from other schools consistently repping their fraternities but hardly any affiliation for Tech players. There are many factors that make VT a tough place to recruit. its not only money.
