We have to spend significantly more resources to recruit Texas due to the distance, and the benefit isn't worth it. We're competing in the heart of SEC and Big 12 country, and I know schools like OU and Ok State recruit there heavily in addition to all the Texas schools. It's hard to believe we're on a level playing field going up against that crowd. All we're doing is giving the kids there leverage for a higher starting salary at places like Boone Pickens U.
