They made the right call firing him.

Unfortunately for the Deacs, they made a terrible call in hiring Bzdelik. Then when they made the right decision to fire him, they decided to go for the hot new coach in Manning instead of someone with a real track record. They recruited a bit better but never gained a lot of traction in the win column. Talent-wise, they had been about middle of the road in the league. But if the results even matched that, Manning would still be their coach.
