a small HS...I grew up playing sports at Gretna HS. Dan River was probably our second biggest rival...nobody of any major consequence that I can remember sports wise, every came from Dan River, prior to the Edmunds. Lots of great players from nearby GW, of Danville, can you say David Wilson and Ken Talley in bball? But NOT Dan River...for what it is worth, Ferrell Edmunds is STILL the head football coach there-maybe he has some more nephews etc!

They are like Gretna, I believe the second to lowest classification in the state. Perhaps that is why not EVERY other Power Five school went after the Edmunds-especially Trey, who was the first.I believe they were all like 3 stars? So, yes, lets continue to recruit Va hard, and never forget the smaller less notorious schools. Talk about diamonds in the rough!!
