came down to Blacksburg from New York state for undergrad orientation and saw it on the stadium. He, like many others, wasn't hot about the name "Hokies" either and there are many who don't like the color combination of Chicago Maroon and Burnt Orange. After a while these things tend to grow on him. Also I have a feeling that if our sports teams racked up some National Titles and enhanced the prestige of our brand, most of us (not all) would care less about these things and even take more pride in the uniqueness of our brand.
