Brandon Johnson from Western Michigan would be a huge get if we can
score him.
Western Michigan redshirt junior Brandon Johnson went into the NCAA Transfer Portal on Monday, and it didn't take long for a host of schools to reach out.
Johnson, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward, told 247Sports that was immediately contacted by Cincinnati, Dayton, Georgetown, Louisville, New Mexico, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Utah and Virginia Tech.
Johnson is coming off of a tremendous year, averaging 15.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks a game, while shooting 48.6-percent from the field. Johnson sat out the previous season with a knee injury.
During his sophomore season, Johnson averaged 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds, which was up from 8.0 points and 5.5 rebounds as a freshman.
Johnson will be eligible to play immediately due to graduate transfer rules.
