The Hokies were just one of many teams hurryin’ up and down the court.

Loyola-Marymount, led by Bo Kimble and Hank Gathers, averaged 110 points per game. Tark the Shark’s UNLV’s Runnin’ Rebels took the title in 1990 after taking out the Gather-less Lions in the elite 8.

Gathers death on the court the following season still reverberates through time.
