The snarky dismissiveness of it isn't something that's productive under normal circumstances, much less now.

You've been around a long time and have been a great supporter of the site for years, @maroonhiker . I expect better of someone who has been an asset for so long. I debated even saying anything for those reasons, but I have a responsibility to the community of these boards to call out bad behavior. (I don't always do so, because there's *so much* of it, haha.)

If you don't like what he says or don't have the time to properly respond -- and this is advice to everyone -- do one of two things: (1) provide counterpoints in a respectful fashion; or (2) stay silent. Either one of those is much more productive than an insulting one-liner.
