Italians, despite smoking, live longer and are healthier with lower rates of obesity, much lower diabetes, and heart disease. We don’t see higher deaths among with the flu. And it certainly would not enough to explain the large overrun of the hospitals in a random region there with nothing like that here. It’s just wishful thinking.
