the point being missed is the vast majority of people do not have life threatening problems, they stay at home and wait. Only people 50+ with other health issues or 70+ normal are being impacted.

It is now being determined that corona was here in December and missed as seasonal flu. US had a spike in flu by a whole percentage point and some of the people who died then were probably miss diagnosed with seasonal flu.
