applicable comments from my response to College Football Staffing Part 1

maybe the next conference realignments should be done on total athletic budget money. the participants in the college football $trategic arm$ race seem to be proud of how much money they have and how large their “total staff size” is. so set up standards and let the biggest of the big-staffed schools with the most monetarily ble$$ed teams in each sport form the super conference.
set up subsequent tiers of qualifications for schools with lesser funds to form other conferences.

the super conference schools can be relieved of the old “geographic area” paradigm to define conferences. those loaded schools can afford to jet around to any corner of the continent (and Hawaii if qualified) to show off their prowe$$, manufacturer-rolled uniforms, and well-$upported athletes and play for appropriately fancy trophies.

each of the other lower tiers of school’s conferences can be populated by schools with similar budgets plus the traditional “geographic area paradigm” limitations.

and the opportunity for players to earn money for their athletic abilities should be available to any player who wants/needs to do so. . . . but not in a collegiate affiliated or sponsored sports setting.
as i have previously posted, those athletes who are needful of monetary compensation and those athletes who feel they have legal rights to compensation for their name and services
should
play
in
another,
new league.
the nfl should form a “entry league” (for lack of a better term) for high school grads who see no need for a college education but aren’t physically ready to endure the punishment of the more developed nfl. set a limit to the number of years a high school grad can stay and prep for their nfl debut. the nfl has the money to bankroll this with the money they will take-in as they charge to attend the “entry league’s” games plus espn/other network broadcasts of games. the ncaa can even “show their concern” by chipping in significant startup money from their mega-profits for the initial three years. in the meantime the athletes can hawk themselves any way they legally chose to make money for use of their name or likeness.
the powers that be will have to get behind an “entry league” effort to make it happen. but it condescends to the kids who want their cut of the money . . . and . . . it preserves the ncaa college football in a form similar to what we know now including its scholarship system.

apologizing for so long. (it could have been more in-depth and lengthy.)
