times this year, I personally feel like this is Bennett's worst team (record excluded) since he has been at UVA (so little talent and minimal athleticism, coupled with very poor shooting). Given they are 21-7, I assumed that his team must be full of upperclassmen. I took a look at the roster and was shocked to see so much youth (5 fresh./3 soph.)! I then took a look at the conference stats and saw where they are last or near last in the majority of offensive categories. Granted, they are ranked 1st or near first in a majority of defensive categories, but still incredibly impressive that with such a putrid offense, they have notched 21 wins (and will likely win at least one of next two and possibly ACC tourney). I think this team's personnel is hard pressed to hit 12 or 13 total wins outside of Bennett's system. It's not sexy or fun to watch, but it's pretty impressive how this system can still produce a tourney team, even when the talent level is down and offensive production is completely absent. They wont ever rely on a hot shooting night in order to give themselves a chance to win. It's crazy to think that this is a down year for them.
