My son is Tennessee Tech Engineering freshman(Kohl's 4.5 of 5 stars) and on a 6-5 team and graduating starting kicker finally got one response back on walking on , after 7 months of effort, get with special teams coach who doesn't respond. Several of his friends were told no to even trying out in the spring.His friend,also engineering student, who he played soccer with in the mean time who has never kicked in a football practice has a sit down with the Alabama coaching staff to discuss walking on at Alabama. MTSU our hometown school was same way no response what so ever but the head coach there has reputation of treating kickers like crap(it's hard to believe two year's in row you have the TN kicker of year in your town offer neither but after you watch a video of kid hit field after field from all the hashes and finishes with 65 yard kick on your field you might at least respond.The funny thing was his son, MTSU's starting QB, came to my son's game and told his friends he is better than our starting kicker.)
