Excellent analysis

You have my respect as someone who has done their homework and knows what he is talking about. Most PSU'ers expect our offense to be better than last year in the sense that we won't be relying on the downfield "explosive" pass play as much, but rather, a more run focused attack with any one of 3 stud running backs behind a very experienced offensive line (4 of 5 starters back). Combine a solid run game with a 2021 1st round draft pick at TE and a qb with a full year of starting experience - should be a strong, balanced offense.

Defensively, don't let the "only 5 returning starters" fool you. Our defensive coordinator almost always goes 2-3 deep in each position each game, so we do have pretty good experience on that side of the ball, led by our AA linebacker (5 star recruit) Micah Parsons.

If PSU and VT lined up on a neutral field 10 times next year, I would expect PSU to win 7. But, they aren't doing that. Instead, it is a one game shot in Bburg, probably at night. So, in my opinion, it becomes a 50-50 game for each team with the old fashioned cliche "whoever makes the most mistakes will lose".

See you in September.
