Given he is from Oceanside, CA, maybe he saw it as an opportunity


to move closer to his family. Also, he may have aspirations to coach in the NFL some day or move up the coaching ladder in college football. Coaching at a bigger named program with a lot more exposure than UVA may improve his chances of achieving that goal.
