...recommended firing date. Frank (I'm thinking of one specific O-line coach, but there were others) liked keeping his friends around, even at the expense of the team's performance. Its great keeping your coaching staff intact for many years, but they have to be pulling their weight. I've read here that someone admired Clemson keeping their coaching staff intact, but they are performing (and getting paid well for that performance).

VT has struggled with the transition from Frank to Fu, but now that Bud and his staff have been replaced, we'll see if the younger guys start pulling in higher rated players. The ACC had a down year, especially the Coastal, but it should be a shootout next year. VT, UNC and Miami should be the top favorites to win it all. GT will be improved, UVA will be OK, but unless Bronco can pull in another excellent QB transfer, they'll be fighting Pitt & Dook for 4th place.
