You clearly didn't pay attention that year


VT was vastly outmanned in every single game, but actually looked competent in most games. Buzz had way less to work with that year, competing against a far better ACC, and you could actually see good things happening from a coaching standpoint that gave you hope for the future. All those losses were to far better teams than we've played in this stretch (save FSU), and this team has far more talent. We've also seen what they can do, so it's disappointing to see a team regressing instead of improving, like you'd expect a team to do throughout the season.

You can keep imagining that season a different way, but I remember being very excited to see a competent coach that seemed to know how to get the most out of his guys. MY still has plenty of time to have a great career at VT, but this stretch (esp getting swept by JIM f'in CHRISTIAN) does not give me very much confidence that that will happen. I hope I am wrong, though.
