Miami...

A team that can get hot offensively, but struggles defensively. It will be interesting to see if the Hokies can break a bit of their monotony offensively in the past few games against a bad opponent defensively.

Miami will mix man-to-man with a 2-3 zone. The 2-3 zone is not like Syracuse's zone and can be attacked more traditionally. It is an interesting conundrum because of VTs shooting prowess. Does Miami stay away from the zone fearing VTs shooting? However, the best way to beat VTs offense is to contain their drives, and the zone (for Miami) is the best way to do that. Either way, you'll see a but of both tonight.

Short turnaround for the Hokies, so I think the keys will be simple. If VT is making enough shots against the zone, Miami will struggle to defend the Hokies in man-to-man. Find ways to get the ball into the gaps of the zone and then find open teammates.

Defensively, I'd like to see them step up a little more on ball screens and make Miami drive into traffic. Chase them off the 3 point line and keep them away from their strengths
