Georgia Tech over UVA in the Tit, 1980


I had a co-op job in Atlanta, living in a frat house a Georgia Tech, and got to see their first ACC victory.
"Georgia Tech 62, Virginia 61 Feb 9, 1980 They still can’t explain this one in Charlottesville. Facing freshman Ralph Sampson, a Jackets team that would finish 8-18 and win only one conference game nailed its first-ever ACC victory."
Ralph shot the student section a double-bird as exited through the tunnel. Longest fingers I had ever seen.
