I agree there was a fumble and a bad call made by the official. My

proof as you request is that the call stood and VT lost the game because of it. It is not the first time this instance has happened and all of the results I have been able to find have resulted in exactly the same call as was applied here.

It simply was an error by the referee but there was nothing the coaches could have to to change it after the call was made.
