The only thing reviewable is the spotting of the football. Once the forward


progress call is made, the ball is dead by rule and there can be no fumble. I have not watched any replays where the definitive spotting of the football has been questioned but would be interested if you have one somewhere.

This is not the first instance of this particular issue being questioned. It has happened multiple times over the past 10 years and yet not a single one has been reviewed to my knowledge much less overturned. If, as you interpret the rules, it is reviewable, do you think it might have been challenged in one of the cases or the rules clarified to provide better understanding?
