The "It" factor - killer instincts
Someone else mentioned in another thread that Beamer's teams at the end of his career, and Fu's teams now, haven't seemed to the "It" factor, a mental killer instinct to raise their game and finish off an opponent, at least on a consistent basis.
You know who had "It"? Lynn Bowden had it. The punch was definitely bad behavior and there's no justifying or minimizing it, but you know what? I wish VT had a few players that had "it" in them to fuel their performance like he did in that game, albeit while maintaining better composure and not acting out like that in the process. We haven't seen VT players that consistently had "it" in a long time.
We need more of the same kind of "it" attitude on the field.
