What can our quarterbacks execute?

I hesitate to compare the Hokies to the Hoos. But go back and watch Bryce Perkins performance in the 4th quarter of the Orange Bowl. Hoos lost, it wasn't enough. But under pressure, Perkins rolled out of the pocket and hits Jana, Dubois or Reed for a five to seven yard drop off pass. That play would have been enough for the Hokies to turn one or both of their field goals into touchdowns.

The roll out drop off pass isn't anything special. Every veteran QB runs it. But either our QBs don't have the confidence to run it, or our receivers aren't finding space to make it possible. Really, I don't think HH or QP have learned the roll-out move yet. That seems like a really simple addition to the play book that would make the Hokies a 10-win team.
