To be best ever DC ever would require at least several of those awards right? Bud was a product of Frank Beamer, as his coach, and later as his boss, and he learned from Frank. He never achieved the level of success as our Hall of Fame Coach Beamer, and many feel that he "made" Frank. I know better - Frank made Bud, but Bud could never be Frank Beamer, as evidenced by never being offered a HC position. If anything, Frank Beamer was the best DC ever, even though his position was HC at the time.
