Coach Wiles. JF knew he was going to hire a new DC at the beginning of the year. He could have gone to Charley and told him they would be revamping the staff and give him a chance to say that this season, too, would be his last year at VT.

Wiles would have had the opportunity to create his own narrative, made in roads for other options and made decisions for what was best for him, on his terms. I feel he earned at least that from his service as a 24 year part of successful piece of the football program.

This move was, in my opinion, handled very poorly and showed a lack of respect to one of our own. He’ll be fine; he’s as good as it gets, but I hate it ended like this bc it didn’t have to.
