I realized when I posted this, that the viewpoints of this situation would

be varied. I had to post because I hate unfairness. Coach Wiles' dismissal, the way it was handled was unjust. You don't work for an employer for 24 years, do your job well, remain dedicated to your work only to be "surprised and hurt" when you are shown the door. I come from a place where I was taught to always, in every situation, treat others the way you would want to be treated. For those of you who say "no big deal, he just needs to suck it up" or "it's a nasty business" I ask you, would you want your career, almost a quarter of a century, at a place you hold in such high regard, to treat YOU this way? I think not. You'd be ticked off, too, and you're not being honest if you say otherwise. There was no justification for his removal. If he had thought there was, he'd be coaching in the bowl.

Fuente has done this and the lasting effects of this decision may not be known for a while. While it stinks right now for CW, it may come back to bite JF in the butt as well. I hate it for CW and I hate it for the VT football program. Unless there was due cause, which has not been shown to be the case in this man's job performance, you just don't treat people this way. I thought JF had grown as a coach, and was trying to give him a chance, but I am not a fan any longer.
