Having said that, I think there may have been a better way to handle the Wiles departure. Maybe he could have been another “Kill” for a few years, providing input to the new, young D coaches. And he could have been formally honored for his many years of service by Fuente. Just seems like Wiles wasn’t given the respect he earned even if his performance had fallen some in recent years.
