If Charley didn’t want to work for Hamilton, is burned out (not likely), or for some other reason did not want to stay, he could have simply announced he was leaving or retiring.

Strange that he would voluntarily vacate a good paying job that he’s performed well and apparently enjoyed for 24 years. It is telling to me that he did not say anything about Fuente in his parting statement. Pretty sure it was a one-sided decision.
