Hamilton is a low risk hire that should allow more $$$ for the new hires.
JH will certainly have a salary lower than Bud. Maybe that available cash can help lure more qualified/more desirable assistants for open positions. Also, if JH does not cut it after 3 or so years there should be no significant $$$ if he is let go or demoted. Since the D pantry is pretty well stocked for the next 2 years Hamilton has a couple of years to fine tune his approach to the DC position. Apparently, Bud will be doing a good amount of mentoring. If things do not work out, Fuente looks outside for a better choice in 3-4 years.
